Little League Resource Guide

The Resource Guide will help League Administrators oversee and prioritize their schedules and will help guide the activities that should be accomplished during the “play” portion of the season, and what there is to “prepare” for in the offseason.

Things to Do in December

        • Changes Coming to ASAP Program: With the traditional opening of ASAP submissions quickly approaching on December 1, this is your reminder that the ASAP program will be evolving to provide a new, modernized safety framework starting in 2026 with two new initiatives – “Little League SAFE” and “SAFE to Play”. Together, these programs will replace the longtime ASAP structure with a more comprehensive approach that combines education, compliance, and recognition. No action will be needed by leagues and/or districts until it launches on January 5, 2026.
        • Chartering and Insurance Enrollment Open: Chartering and insurance enrollment for the 2026 season is now open through the Little League Data Center. As a reminder the Little League Data Center is the exclusive location for local leagues to join the program by enrolling their teams and choosing whether to enroll in the various insurance offerings available exclusively to affiliated Little League programs.
        • Take Advantage of FREE Training: Now is the perfect time to take advantage of all the various free trainings available a LittleLeague.org/Training, including the Resource Guide Prepare Companion Course.
        • Background Checks: As a reminder, background checks and Abuse Awareness Training are required annually, so ensure all your volunteers are completing both for the 2026 season.
        • Constitution and Bylaws Review: Make sure to take time to review your league's constitution and bylaws to set your community up for success heading into 2026. As a reminder, the constitution can be found in the Data Center Filing Cabinet and should be reviewed by the League President annually.
        • Recognize Your Volunteers: As you reflect back on your past season, now is a great time to recognize those volunteers in your league who have gone above and beyond for not just your Little League program, but your entire community. Take a few minutes and submit a nomination for a Little League Community Hero to have a chance for them to be recognized by Little League International!
