The New York Mets and Seattle Mariners will compete in the 2025 “MLB Little League Classic presented by New York Life,” in Williamsport, Pa.  The game will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 and will serve as a home contest for the Mets.  The game will air nationally on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” at 7:00 p.m. (ET). The special event, hosted in connection with the Little League Baseball World Series, will be available on ESPN Radio, the ESPN App and ESPN Deportes. 

As is tradition for this annual occasion, Major Leaguers from both the Mets and Mariners will attend Little League World Series games earlier in the day on August 17th, demonstrating their commitment to helping grow the game at the youth level and engage with young fans. Later that evening, Little League World Series players and their families will attend the game at Historic Bowman Field for the Little League Classic game.

The 2024 MLB Little League Classic will feature the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers. The game will be played at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, August 18, at 7 pm. 

The day begins with action across the Little League World Series, where players from the two MLB teams get to spend the morning and early afternoon watching action at Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium. The roles then reverse at night, as the Little Leaguers and their families fill the stands to watch two big league clubs square off.

The game itself counts as a regular season MLB contest with one team being “home” and the other being “away.” Following the matchup, the pros incorporate Little League sportsmanship by shaking hands at home plate.

The 2023 MLB Little League Classic will be played between the Washington Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies at Bowman Field in Williamsport, PA.  The game will be played on Sunday, August 20, and serves as a home game for the Nationals. It will air on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcast on ESPN.  Players from the Little League World Series teams will attend the game.   MLB players from the Nationals and Phillies will visit the World Series teams earlier in the day at Lamade Stadium, home of the Little League Baseball World Series.

This year the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox will play a regular season game at historic Bowman Field during the Little League World Series.  The game will be played Sunday, August 21 and will serve as a home game for Baltimore.  It will air nationally that evening on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" at 7 pm. (ET).

Later that evening, Little League Baseball World Series players and their families will fill Historic Bowman Field for the Little League Classic game, which is part of the “GEICO Summer Series.”

In 2021, the MLB-Little League Classic featured the Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians in the fourth annual MLB Little League® Classic. The game was played Sunday, August 22 at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

In 2019 the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs  played in the third “MLB Little League Classic presented by GEICO” in Williamsport, Pa., during the 2019 Little League World Series.

In 2018  the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets played in the second “MLB Little League Classic” in Williamsport, Pa., during the 2018 Little League World Series.

In August 2017, MLB and Little League International launched the first MLB-Little League Classic featuring  the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals at Historic Bowman Field.
