Coach of the Year Nomination Open

This year, Positive Coaching Alliance and Lance® – the Official Snack of Little League® – have once again joined forces to bring you the Little League Coach of the Year Award to honor all the ways great Little League coaches help nourish team spirit and fuel kids to be the best they can be, both on and off the field.

● About the Award: Lance® and Positive Coaching Alliance are seeking to recognize two coaches in an affiliated Little League® Baseball or Softball Program – with at least three years minimum of coaching experience – that exemplify and inspire “winning,” both on and off the field.

● What We're Looking For: Examples of “On the Field” winning include demonstrating: honorable sportsmanship, strong leadership, encouragement, hard work, and a positive attitude in the face of challenges. And “Off the Field” would include demonstrating and promoting: social responsibility within the community, education and academics, and the ability to inspire others.

● Submission Requirements: Submit nominations at the below link. All submissions must include: first and last name of the coach, the coach’s Little League, the league location, and reasoning for why the coach is being submitted. We encourage nominations to include meaningful details on how this coach has made a difference in the lives of players and their community, particularly over the last year as leagues have navigated the COVID-19 pandemic. Explanations for why the coach is being nominated should be 1 – 2 paragraphs in length and provide specific examples of the coach’s impact both on and off the field. Submissions close on Wednesday, June 30.

NOMINATE A COACH

Please note, all coaches need to be in compliance with the Little League Child Protection program in regards to the volunteer application process, including an approved background check from the local league. An additional background check will be required by Little League International for final winners.
