2012 State Leadership Conference
It's time to mark your calendars and get your car pools set up to attend the Georgia State Little League Leadership Conference. The 2012 Conference will be held January 14, 2012 at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, GA.
 We are excited to bring Positive Coaching Alliance to our Conference this year! PCA is a Little League Partner and specializes in helping leagues create a positive atmosphere in your park that will help your players learn more and want to come back for more. Double Goal Coaches are taught the strategies that reflect the "best practices" of elite coaches and the latest research in sports psychology. Second Goal Parents are taught how to be supportive of their child and their child's coaches. Our Southeast Regional Director, Jen Colvin, will present a morning workshop on League Administration.
Our State Umpire Consultant, Brian Henry, and our Assistant State Umpire Consultant, Don Dozier, will host an Umpire Town Hall Meeting. We ask that every league send a league representative to this meeting to discuss how the leagues choose their umpires, how they get training for the umpires, if the current system works for the league, and how our state umpires can assist leagues in training or development.
We will also present a morning workshop on Social Media. Maggie Zerkus, Social Life Online, and a social media specialist will discuss the various forms of social media availble and how these tools can benefit leagues in communication and growth.
And of course we will have a fantastic array of exhibitors on hand to show you the latest products and services available to baseball and softball organizations.
Come early to make the most of the day. Be sure to register by January 6 to reserve seating and lunch. Last-Minute guests are always welcome as well. Check in for the conference will begin at 8 am.
Be sure to take advantage of the Clinics offered at our Southeast Region Headquarters in Warner Robins.
Our Tennessee neighbors have a "Road Show” in Greeneville, TN, January 28 -29. Jen Colvin, our SE Region Director, will conduct the training for the Road Show and will cover League Administration.
