2011 Urban Initiative Jamboree

Belvedere Little League hosted the 2nd Annual Georgia Urban Initiative Jamboree over the Memorial Day Weekend. Eight teams from Georgia competed for the Championship Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Participants in the Jamboree:

Macon Little League, District 5
Sally Little League (Columbus), District 8
Metro YMCA Little League, District 2
Milford Little League, District 2
Belvedere Little League Braves, District 3
Belvedere Little League Cardinals, District 3
Ben Hill Little League, District 2
South Fulton Little League, District 4

A special thanks to all our Belvedere Little League volunteers who have hosted the event for the past 2 years. Additionally, many volunteers came from Milford Little League, the host for the 2012 Jamboree! Our volunteer umpires came from districts 2, 3, 4 and 7.

The Semi-Final games were played on Sunday. South Fulton Little League, winner of Pool A, played Sally Little League, runner-up of Pool B. Final score was South Fulton 8, Sally 2. Ben Hill Little League, winner of Pool B, played Milford Little League, runner-up of Pool A. Final score was Ben Hill 6, Milford 4.

The Championship Game was played between South Fulton Little League and Ben Hill Little League. After a complete 6 innings, South Fulton became the 2011 Urban Intiative Jamboree Champions!
